Employment Statistics in Hertfordshire: What you need to know.
If you take a look at the employment statistics for Hertfordshire from 2017 they are considerably higher than the national average. To date 78.7% of people in Hertfordshire are in employment, that is 4.3% over the national average. These stats also show that those in work in Hertfordshire are receiving 20% more pay than the national average, this could be due to the types of roles which people of Hertfordshire are doing and the commutable distance to London as well as the quality of jobs available in the area. With this in mind it may be time to consider looking at your company’s candidate attraction and engagement strategies. For example, you may want to consider if you are offering a competitive salary as this would enable you to ensure you are getting the pick of the top potential employees, whilst offering them more of an incentive to join your team.
The statistics show that people in Hertfordshire are more likely to be in professional occupations. It may be time to consider having a look at employee engagement strategies and employee benefits and weighing them up against other local businesses, this may be a way to attract a better selection of people for you to consider.
