Are you a highly organised and customer-focused individual looking for your next challenge in a rewarding, varied role? A leading employer in Stevenage is seeking a Customer Service (Events) professional to join their growing team. This is a predominantly inbound, customer-centric role with a strong focus on administration and event support. You’ll be liaising with customers, guiding them through event registration and membership processes, and working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth, high-quality experience.
Customer Service (Events) – Job Overview
- Responding to enquiries across channels including telephone, email and SMS
- Providing customers with detailed event information and support
- Processing event bookings, taking payments, issuing invoices and receipts
- Working closely with internal teams, including event planning and finance
- Supporting with membership queries and encouraging engagement and retention
- Maintaining and updating trackers in Excel to monitor progress and outcomes
- Following up on leads and re-engaging with lapsed members or late payers where needed
- Representing the organisation at events on occasion
Customer Service (Events) – Skills and Experience Required
- Experience within a customer service or administrative role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Confidence working towards activity targets and KPIs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (experience with trackers essential)
- A proactive and consultative approach to customer engagement
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and communicate at all levels
