We’re looking for a Credit Controller to join a friendly, close-knit team of four in an established, well-respected organisation based in Ware. This is a people-focused role where you'll engage with customers to resolve outstanding payments and find workable solutions. A background in debt recovery, banking, or financial services would be ideal.

Credit Controller – Job Overview

• Managing a portfolio of overdue customer accounts (both residential & commercial)
• Engaging with customers to understand financial difficulties & find solutions
• Taking payments & setting up manageable repayment plans
• Investigating & resolving any pricing or billing issues
• Handling general finance queries & providing excellent customer service
• Producing reports & managing financial data
• Speaking with customers regularly over the phone

Credit Controller – Skills and Experience required

✅ Experience in debt collection, money advice, banking, or a similar finance-related role
✅ A strong telephone manner – confident & professional
✅ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
✅ A proactive, problem-solving mindset
