Senior Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a hands-on leader to guide a small team of fitters in a busy and fast-paced workshop environment.

Job Overview
As a Mechanical Fitting Lead, your duties will include:

• Mechanical assembly and installation of components on large industrial systems.

• Leading and mentoring a team of three mechanical fitters.

• Interpreting mechanical and engineering drawings with accuracy.

• Installing and aligning pumps, valves, gauges, brackets, and other mechanical components.

• Maintaining high standards of quality, precision, and safety throughout projects.

• Problem-solving and ensuring deadlines are met effectively.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven mechanical fitting experience, ideally with industrial machinery  treatment systems.

• Knowledge of valves, pumps, gauges, and mechanical fastening methods.

• Ability to read and work from detailed engineering drawings.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.

• Familiarity with ABS/PVC-U assemblies 

• Conscientious, reliable, and hardworking.

• Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.

• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach.

Job Details

• Competitive salary: £27,500 – £32,500 DOE.

• Full-time, permanent role (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am – 3pm).
