Hours: 39.5 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern

• Week 1: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Week 2: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Main Purpose of the Role:

The Manufacturing Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring product quality throughout the production process. This position is responsible for conducting quality checks, identifying deviations at an early stage, and verifying that packaging specifications meet required standards.

The role also involves maintaining and monitoring testing equipment used for quality control. The technician will be involved in approving batch changes, supporting production teams with troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Quality Technician Duties:

• Quality Inspection 
• Conduct regular quality checks across production to ensure compliance with company standards
• Verify products meet required specifications, including packaging quality
• Ensure production starts with approved quality standards and batch sign-off
• Monitor and update reports
• Maintain accurate records of quality inspections and deviations
• Prepare reports with statistical evaluations and deviation analyses
• Escalate critical quality concerns to management for immediate resolution
• Process Improvement and continuous improvement
• Support root cause analysis for defects and contribute to process improvements
• Assist in implementing quality control measures to enhance production standards
• Ensure all measuring and testing equipment is calibrated and maintained properly
• Customer and Internal support
• Investigate customer complaints related to product quality
• Work closely with production teams to implement corrective actions
• Conduct internal audits and provide feedback to staff on quality inspections
• Train production staff on quality standards and correct use of testing equipment
• Collaborate with various departments, including production, logistics, and technical teams
• Support internal and external audits by providing required quality data

Quality Technician Skills/Qualifications Required/Desired:    

• Completed technical training or equivalent qualification in quality assurance, manufacturing, or a related field
• Experience in quality control, ideally in a manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
• Ability to work to strict deadlines while maintaining high standards
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with different departments
• Knowledge of quality assurance standards such as ISO 9001
• Familiarity with packaging specifications and quality control processes
• Willingness to work flexible shifts as required
