Machine Operator

A manufacturing business in Letchworth is looking to expand their team and recruit a Machine Operator working in a high-volume production department on a Temporary to Permanent basis on a day weekend shift pattern.

Machine Operator – Hours and Pay rate

• Starting Salary of £11.44 - £15.25 an hour, including a shift premium
• Weekend Day shift Pattern working Friday – Sunday 6am – 6pm

Machine Operator – Duties

• To set, operate, run and repair machines.
• To be able to read engineering drawings
• To be responsible for the quality of parts produced
• To be able to inspect products
• To be able to use measuring equipment
• Run the machine and assist with tooling set ups.
• Keep work area clean and tidy to help minimise the risk of accidents while working under minimum supervision.

Machine Operator - Skills/Qualifications Required/Desired:                            

• Experience operating machinery.
• Able to read engineer drawings
• Knowledge or experience working within Injection Moulding
• Experience working in a production or manufacturing setting
• Engineering understanding
• Able to follow instructions
• Willingness to learn and train on new areas
• Self-motivated
