CAD Technician

An exciting opportunity has become available to join a well-established company in Hatfield. Working as part of a friendly, experienced and dynamic team, you will be responsible for working alongside project managers undertaking multiple projects for clients and delivering an exceptional level of CAD drawing support.

CAD Technician – Benefits Offered

• £25,000 to £28,000 per annum 
• 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday

CAD Technician - Job Overview

As a CAD Technician your duties will include;

• Provide CAD drawings for schemes in AutoCAD lite 2D
• Liaise with Project Managers, architects and client designers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery
• Provide amended drawings based on project revisions
• Liaise with architects, catering specialists and other third parties where appropriate
• Prioritise own workload ensuring that timescales and quality of work are not compromised
• Attend site visits where appropriate
• Support other members of the CAD team when required
• Ensure that all drawing folders are maintained, as per company standards
• Answer the telephones, transfer calls and take accurate messages, where appropriate

CAD Technician - Skills & Experience Required

• Experience of using AutoCAD Lite 2D
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring information is accurate
• PC literate, including Excel, as well as a quick learner, as the role will require the use of a number of different internal systems
• Flexible team player who’s willing to get stuck in and help out whenever needed
• Enthusiasm and a desire to learn are essential
