Customer Service Team Leader (Procurement & Education) -Job Overview

As part of a dynamic customer engagement team, you will manage multiple procurement projects, supporting public sector organisations within education by streamlining the process of acquiring IT goods and services. This role involves:

• Proactively handling customer queries, offering procurement advice, and guiding them through the purchasing process.
• Developing strong relationships with both clients and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Overseeing procurement exercises, benchmarking, and contract management to ensure value for money.
• Providing leadership to a small team, monitoring performance, and ensuring a high standard of customer service.
• Ensuring procurement processes align with regulatory compliance and best practices.

Customer Service Team Leader (Procurement & Education) – Skills and Experience required

• Experience in procurement, ideally within the education sector or public sector framework.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
• Knowledge of UK public procurement processes, with a CIPS qualification being desirable.
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams or projects.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. 

Customer Service Team Leader (Procurement & Education) – Benefits Offered

• £40,000 per annum
• Hybrid/ remote – must be within a 30 minute commute of Herts/ Beds.
• 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday
