Educational service provider has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and highly customer focussed Account Manager to join their team.  This role involves handling inbound enquiries, taking details of complex orders, liaising with suppliers to obtain quotes, entering these into a framework system and managing issues throughout the process through to accurate invoicing via Xero,

Please note, only applications from individuals who are currently residing within Hertfordshire/ Bedfordshire will be considered.  This is a hybrid/ remote vacancy which will involve regular meetings within Hertfordshire/ Bedfordshire.

Customer Account Manager – Job Overview

  • Proactively dealing with queries from customers, primarily school trusts
  • Developing familiarity with suppliers’ and their specialisms
  • Obtaining proposals and quotes to meet customer needs
  • Helping customers to make decisions where required and supporting to specify and develop their buying requirements
  • Ensuring the process from initial query to contract delivery is efficient and documented within relevant systems
  • Preparing and sending customer and supplier contracts
  • Making sure invoicing and delivery runs smoothly for the customer and the company
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with your allocated customer accounts, understanding their needs and objectives, and coordinating internal resources to deliver effective solutions.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact and liaison between your customer accounts, the supplier and internal teams to resolve any issues with the procurement process, contract paperwork, delivery or implementation
  • Developing enhanced knowledge of your allocated ‘specialism’
  • Exhibiting the company values through your work and interactions with customers, suppliers and colleagues

Customer Account Manager – Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience working in a customer service account management role
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to nurture business relationships
  • Experience within the educational sector highly advantageous
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office suite
    Ability to amend and tailor comprehensive documentation
  • High levels of self-discipline and personal integrity
  • A strong work ethic and attention to detail
