An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive Scheduler / Resource Planner to join a growing, customer-focused service business. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in ensuring excellent service delivery.
About the Role
As a Scheduler / Resource Planner, you’ll coordinate engineers and resources to ensure the smooth delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance jobs. You’ll be responsible for managing service schedules, communicating with clients and engineers, and supporting the process through to invoicing.
This is a pivotal role within the operations team, requiring strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, schedule, and allocate engineers (including third parties) for both reactive and planned maintenance jobs
• Manage and update client schedules, ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently and on time
• Monitor job progress and ensure all follow-up actions are carried out promptly
• Communicate effectively with clients and engineers to resolve queries and ensure high service standards
• Support with preparing estimates, dispatching materials, and maintaining contracts on internal systems
• Close completed jobs and process them for invoicing
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams
Skills & Experience Required
• Previous experience in scheduling, coordination, or resource planning (essential)
• Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
• Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Experience working in a service, maintenance, or engineering environment advantageous
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to delivering excellent customer service
