A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Planner to join a thriving, fast-paced business with a strong focus on operational efficiency, collaboration, and stock optimisation.

This role would suit someone who thrives on analysing data, solving inventory challenges, and working cross-functionally to ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time.

About the Role

As Purchasing Planner, you’ll manage the flow of stock across the network by monitoring inventory levels, coordinating stock movements, and collaborating with teams across the business. You’ll play a key part in ensuring high product availability and service standards, supporting both operational decisions and wider business goals through robust reporting and communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate redistribution of stock to ensure optimal availability across the network

  • Monitor stock levels and raise potential issues proactively

  • Liaise with warehouses to prioritise additional stock movements

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to meet demand

  • Review and report on quality assurance and fleet business performance

  • Generate and distribute analytical reports to inform decision-making

  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement and inventory efficiency


Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical thinking

  • Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills

  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to evaluate large volumes of data

  • Calm and diplomatic under pressure, with strong time management

  • Problem-solver who can spot trends and react quickly

  • Collaborative mindset with the drive to lead improvements
