Estimator - Exterior Lighting and Furniture

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum + Benefits Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

A leading Hertford-based manufacturing company is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Sales Estimator to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong estimating experience who wants to take ownership of the quoting process and contribute to the company’s success.

Sales Estimator – Key Responsibilities:

✅ Estimate & Quote Preparation – Prepare detailed, competitive, and compelling estimates for a variety of projects, including bespoke and complex requests.
✅ Customer & Sales Collaboration – Work closely with customers and the sales team to refine specifications, ensuring strategic pricing and maximized profitability.
✅ Supplier Coordination – Liaise with suppliers to obtain cost-effective quotes and maintain up-to-date pricing.
✅ Process & System Improvement – Implement new estimating tools, refine price lists, and conduct regular supplier reviews to enhance efficiency.
✅ Reporting & Presentation – Generate sales reports and collaborate with sales, marketing, and design teams to prepare proposals.

What We’re Looking For:

✔️ Strong estimating experience in construction, manufacturing, metalwork, or fabrication.
✔️ Commercial awareness with an understanding of profit margins and cost analysis.
✔️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).
✔️ Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
