Our well-established client based in Stevenage are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join their team on an interim basis.

Cyber Security Analyst- Job Overview

• Monitoring, acting on security incidents, requests, and events to ensure that threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches are managed to minimise impact to confidentiality, integrity and availability of MGS systems and Data.
• Threat and Vulnerability Analysis: Detect and analyse emerging threats, ensuring proactive mitigation strategies are in place.
• Vulnerability Management: Extend the coverage of our existing vulnerability management solutions, producing reports for key stakeholders and driving resolution.
• Patch Management: Collaborate with Group and Divisional IT Teams to ensure timely patch management of critical systems.
• Penetration Tests & Audits: Assist in conducting and coordinating management and remediation activities stemming from penetration tests and audit reports.
• Threat Monitoring: Administer Group web monitoring and early warning threat portal.
• Support the SOC provider managing notifications/alerts and with identifying security risks, trends, and opportunities for fine tuning the environment.
• Risk Reporting: Report to the InfoSec management team regarding residual risks and security exposures, including the misuse of information assets.
• Provide feedback on any current and emergency security threats to the relevant stakeholders.
• Intake security assessments and organize project charters, scorecards, and other documentation for the overall roadmap.
• Analyse security data to identify trends and patterns.

Cyber Security Analyst- Skills & Experience Required

• Previous cyber security analyst experience is essential
• Exposure to working within a large business is advantageous
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Confident communicator, able build internal and external relationships
