Established family business based in Stevenage (relocating to Arlesey) are looking to recruit an experienced Admin and Accounts Assistant to join their small finance team.
This is a varied and hands on office-based position working 8.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday where you will be predominantly responsible for administration of work, liaising with clients and Engineers regarding service and repair jobs as well as providing support to the Bookkeeper with invoicing and other accounts related duties.
As a small business the successful candidate should have a hands-on approach and flexible attitude.
Admin and Accounts Assistant – Job Overview
- Act as the first point of contact for private customers and contract clients regarding servicing and breakdowns of equipment
- Answer incoming calls and manage client queries effectively
- Inputting bookings and logging jobs effectively onto the system and as well as manually update records
- Liaise with customers and Engineers regarding works and support to deliver high levels of client care
- Support the Bookkeeper raising and processing invoices accurately into the accounting system
- Maintain and update client records.
- Other ad hoc administrative tasks as required
Admin and Accounts Assistant – Required Skills and Experience
- Previous office-based administration experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop long term business relationships
- High levels of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of Xero accounting software advantageous
Admin and Accounts Assistant – Benefits Offered
- £13.00 per hour
- Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Free parking
