Warehouse Team Leader

I am recruiting on behalf of my client in  Welwyn Garden City looking for a Warehouse Team leader, who is motivated and hands-on to oversee daily operations, Lead and motivate a small team,  and monitor performance and stock levels. This is a full-time, permanent position

Warehouse Team Leader – Duties

• Supervision of staff and team working in the workshop and warehouse.
• Support Manager in absence when required.
• Lead with health & Safety in day to day activities and identify any areas for improvements .
• Set and monitor targets and performance.
• Take part in Stock counting, inputting, ordering and admin.
• Oversee repairs, refurbishment and breakdowns of equipment.
• Support change and new initiatives.

Warehouse Team Leader – Skills and Qualifications

• Experience working with stock and database management system 
• Proven experience in a warehouse leadership role or similar position.
• Experience in managing production activity and set team targets
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multitask
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
• Strong communication and numeracy skills.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate mechanical equipment such as forklift trucks (Flexi or Reach license preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word & Excel.
