Warehouse Team Leader

I am recruiting on behalf of my client in Kempston looking for a Warehouse Team leader, who is motivated and hands-on to oversee daily operations within the dispatch team. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a great opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional to take the next step in their career.

Warehouse Team Leader – Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities to ensure efficiency and smooth operations.
• Plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines and maximize productivity.
• Support and mentor team members, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Identify areas for improvement and work closely with management to implement solutions.
• Monitor and improve team performance by setting clear expectations and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate stock records and data entry within the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Train and support staff on updated procedures and best practices.
• Oversee the receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.

Warehouse Team Leader – Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in a warehouse leadership role or similar position.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
• Strong communication and numeracy skills.
• Experience using WMS and/or ERP systems.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate mechanical equipment such as forklift trucks (Flexi or Reach license preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word & Excel.

Experience in international shipping or the pharmaceutical sector is beneficial but not essential.
