Warehouse Operative

Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative looking for a new opportunity within a busy, hands-on environment? We’re currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a growing wholesale electrical business offering a friendly, supportive team and long-term stability.

About the Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of warehouse operations, ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. You’ll be part of a close-knit team, helping to maintain stock control, process deliveries, and support smooth logistics across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting shipping and receiving by verifying incoming and outgoing deliveries.

• Picking and packing customer orders accurately for shipment.

• Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

• Managing stock levels and maintaining accurate inventory records.

• Assisting with stock replenishment, organisation, and storage.

• Loading and unloading pallets and goods while following safety procedures.

• Generating labels for customer orders.

• Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse at all times.

With training, you’ll also have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities, including generating packing lists, coordinating container loadings, managing air and freight shipments, and understanding customs procedures.

About You

We’re looking for a Warehouse Operative who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment (minimum 2 years preferred).

• Full UK driving licence (essential).

• Forklift experience (certification desirable but not essential).

• Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as Bistrack (beneficial).

• Ability to perform manual handling tasks and lift heavy loads safely.

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

• Salary: £26,000 – £33,500 per annum (DOE).
