Warehouse Operative

Working hours: 40 hour week, 7am to 4pm.
Job Type: Perm
Salary £26,000 - £28,000 depending on experience

As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:

• Receiving goods into the warehouse, completing paperwork, and  checking quantities and quality.

• Conducting regular stock checks, monitoring quality, and supporting procurement.

• Loading and dispatching goods, ensuring packaging and quality standards are met for safe delivery.

• Carrying out scheduled tasks, including fabrication, assembly, and packing, ensuring deadlines are met.

• Maintaining a safe working environment, following health & safety regulations and PPE requirements.

• Completing basic maintenance tasks on machinery and reporting faults.

• Reporting on KPIs, health & safety issues, and non-conformances.

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to process efficiency.

• Inspecting incoming and outgoing goods for accuracy, quality, and damage, quarantining non-conforming items where necessary.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.

• Strong attention to detail when handling stock and paperwork.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge of Lean principles and exposure to 5S desirable.

• Forklift license required.

• Confident problem solver with a proactive attitude.

• Physically capable of manual handling tasks.
