Senior Supply Chain Specialist

Experienced and motivated Senior Supply Chain Specialist is required to join this fast-growing Stevenage based organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in procurement, logistics, and supplier management to lead and optimise their global supply chain operations. Reporting to the Commercial Director you will play a pivotal role in managing the supply chain to meet the company’s ambitious growth plans and operational excellence.

Senior Supply Chain Specialist – Job Overview

• Lead and manage the Supply Chain team to ensure seamless global operations, including logistics strategy, forecasting models, stock management, and compliance reporting.
• Oversee supplier performance and relationship management, ensuring top-level service and quality.
• Implement and monitor supplier quality controls, track performance metrics, and work with internal teams to refine purchasing strategies.
• Identify development needs with supply chain partners and plan global resources to secure competitive pricing, high-quality service, and optimal stakeholder outcomes.
• Negotiate, implement, and monitor purchasing contracts with both new and existing suppliers.
• Collaborate with the Customer Hub to ensure product availability and timely order fulfillment.
• Liaise with senior management to drive the commercial aspects of supply chain operations.
• Travel to manufacturing sites to foster partnerships, evaluate supplier performance, and establish new partnerships.
• Work closely with the R&D and Technical teams to support the development and market introduction of new products.

Senior Supply Chain Specialist – Required Skills and Experience

• Have substantial and demonstrable expertise in procurement, including global procurement experience.
• Be highly skilled in negotiating competitive terms with suppliers.
• Possess excellent communication and presentation skills, both internally and externally.
• Have experience managing supply chains that support sales fulfillment.
• Demonstrate expertise in supply chain systems, continuously driving efficiency and improvement.
• Have significant experience managing relationships with both UK and overseas suppliers.
• Be a self-starter with strong leadership skills, capable of managing teams and driving commercial sense across the organization.
