Accounts Receivable & Finance Support

Circa £30,000 per annum – Hybrid working (3 days office based) – 25 days holiday – on site parking

Growing and dynamic Stevenage based organisation is looking for an Accounts Receivable & Finance Support professional to join their expanding finance team. This newly created role reflects their continued growth and will support the Management Accountant and wider finance function in key financial operations.

Accounts Receivable & Finance Support – Job Overview

As part of a small, collaborative finance team, you will play a key role in credit control, revenue analysis, financial reporting, and supporting accounts payable functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career within a forward-thinking and evolving company.

• Credit control, including weekly progress meetings and cash flow management
• Posting customer invoices and checking VAT
• Managing supplier portals and invoice submissions
• Sending monthly statements and reconciling customer remittances
• Resolving customer invoice and account queries
• Bank reconciliations
• Weekly and monthly sales reporting
• Collaborating with sales and customer service teams on order and customer status
• Revenue and variance analysis
• Supporting finance projects, including system implementation
• Financial reporting, including invoice finance reconciliation and Sage backups
• Assisting with VAT and PPT quarterly preparation
• Providing support for the Accounts Payable function as needed

Accounts Receivable & Finance Support – Skills & Experience Required

• Experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role
• Strong credit control and customer relationship skills
• AAT or similar accounting qualification (desirable)
• High attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookup formulas, sumifs, index & match)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Accounts Receivable & Finance Support – Desirable Experience

• Sage 50 and Dynamics experience
• Stock accounting knowledge
• Experience managing international debtors or NHS credit control
• Exposure to implementing new IT systems within AR or AP
