Technical Customer Advisor (Manufacturing)

A well-respected company in Hitchin are looking for a Technical Customer Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have experience within a customer service role focussing on the technical elements in manufacturing and have CAD experience.

Technical Customer Advisor (Manufacturing) - Benefits Offered

• £27,500 – £29,500 depending on experience
• Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm with a 4pm finish on Fridays (30 min lunch)
• Fully office based
• 23 days annual leave + bank holidays and time off over Christmas and New Year

Technical Customer Advisor (Manufacturing) - Overview

• Responding to customer enquiries including information relating to prices, quotations, deliveries and other requested material.
• Providing excellent customer service for sales and project support, creating quotes and obtaining lead times
• Liaising with the other departments, mainly production, technical and purchasing to ascertain the best way to resolve issues
• Processing of orders, invoices, queries, credits and any complaints on goods or services.
• Independently and collaboratively manage the company’s social media activities. This includes generating relevant content, scheduling posts, and monitoring engagement to enhance brand presence and customer interaction.
• Supporting with ad hoc tasks when required

Technical Customer Advisor (Manufacturing) - Skills & Experience Required

• Maths/Technical education or background
• Experience working in technical sales or working with technical products in manufacturing
• CAD experience or understanding in technical drawing
• Experience of working within a busy customer service environment  
• Excellent telephone manner and written communication
