Planner / Scheduler

Are you a highly organised individual with a talent for scheduling and problem-solving? Our client is looking for a proactive Planner to join their busy team on a minimum of a 3 month basis , ensuring the smooth coordination of responsive and void repairs and delivering an exceptional service to customers.

This role involves day-to-day scheduling of trade operatives, managing multiple workstreams, and liaising with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure repairs are completed on time and to the highest standard. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same – perfect for someone who enjoys variety and thrives under pressure.

Planner – Job Overview

• Schedule daily diaries for trade operatives using scheduling systems, making real-time adjustments as required.
• Balance workloads across multiple workstreams including responsive repairs, voids, insurance works, and emergency callouts.
• Coordinate appointments with residents and internal teams to maximise efficiency.
• Work closely with supervisors and managers to ensure operational targets and KPIs are met.
• Update records, manage email accounts, and process invoices for subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate data for reporting and performance monitoring.
• Provide cover for colleagues during absences to ensure seamless service.

Planner – Skills & Experience Required

• Strong knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience using scheduling systems such as DRS and housing databases (e.g., Northgate).
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with residents, colleagues, and external partners.
• Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Previous experience in a housing repairs, maintenance, or customer-focused scheduling role is desirable.
