An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-focused Customer Support Agent to join a growing and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven customer service experience in an office-based environment who takes pride in delivering exceptional written and verbal communication.
Location: Stevenage – Office-based with some hybrid working
Salary: £28,000 per annum + benefits
Hours: Shift-based – including day and late shifts, with weekend work on a rota basis
About the Role
As a Customer Support Agent, you’ll be responsible for providing first-class support to customers via email and live chat, resolving queries efficiently, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism. You’ll also review customer documentation, ensure compliance with company procedures, and escalate issues where required.
This role is office-based in Stevenage with some hybrid working available after training. You’ll be working on a shift rota, which includes both day and late shifts, as well as weekend cover on a rotational basis.
Key Responsibilities
• Handle customer enquiries promptly and professionally via email and live chat
• Provide accurate, compliant, and high-quality responses to all customer communications
• Investigate and resolve account, payment, and product queries
• Review customer documentation and escalate cases where necessary
• Maintain compliance with internal procedures and external regulations
• Support wider operations teams where required to ensure seamless service delivery
Skills & Experience Required
• Previous customer service experience within an office-based environment is essential
• Confident handling customer contact via email and phone
• Excellent English language skills, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation, are essential and will be assessed as part of the interview process
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Confident using multiple systems and platforms at once
• Flexible and proactive approach, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Team player with a positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
