An established educational service provider has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly customer-focused Customer Account Manager with procurement, bids, and tenders experience to join their team. This role involves managing complex enquiries, obtaining competitive supplier quotes, handling procurement processes within framework agreements, and ensuring seamless contract management.
Please note: Only applicants currently residing within Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire will be considered. This hybrid/remote role requires regular meetings within these regions.
Customer Account Manager – Job Overview
- Managing procurement processes, from supplier engagement to contract fulfilment.
- Handling customer queries, primarily from school trusts, and advising on purchasing requirements.
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain and evaluate proposals, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Supporting customers in decision-making and developing their buying requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with procurement frameworks and maintaining accurate system records.
- Preparing and managing bids, tenders, and contracts for both customers and suppliers.
- Overseeing the end-to-end procurement cycle, ensuring smooth invoicing and delivery.
- Acting as the key liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve procurement-related issues.
- Developing expertise in your assigned procurement specialism.
- Upholding company values through exceptional service and relationship management.
Customer Account Manager – Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in procurement, bids, and tenders management.
- Strong background in account management or customer service.
- Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build and maintain business relationships.
- Experience in the education sector is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to manage documentation efficiently.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- High levels of self-discipline, integrity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
