Projects Estimator

To £35,000 per annum –Hertford (office based) - 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday

Leading Hertford based manufacturing company have a new opportunity for a Projects Estimator to formulate and produce quotes to support their expanding sales team.  The successful candidate will have quote producing experience ideally from within a manufacturing, metalwork or fabrication environment.

Projects Estimator – Job Overview

• Prepare accurate and compelling quotes for both standard and complex projects
• Liaise with customers where required to finalise specification
• Liaise with the sales team regarding strategic pricing where required
• Implement new estimating systems and pricelists
• Work closely with supply chain to obtain quotes for bespoke items and update standard product prices
• Regular reviews of suppliers to ensure value for money and identify efficiencies
• Prepare presentations and proposals in collaboration with sales, marketing, and design teams
• Generate sales reports

Projects Estimator – Required Skills and Experience

• Business acumen and an understanding of finance principles (gross profit/ net profit)
• Full understanding of MS Office 365 software including Outlook, OneDrive/ SharePoint, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Experience in manufacturing, metalwork or fabrication advantageous
